Pig carcasses are moved to the scraper with a manual or pneumatic drive after scalding in the scalding pit. There, 200 beats gently turn the carcass and clean it off the hair cover. In an hour, the scraper can decapitate up to 60 heads, and the weight of the carcass can be up to 150 kg. At the end of the process, the carcass is ejected using a pneumatically actuated lever that lifts and rotates it for easy ejection. The carcass is served on a tubular receiving table, where the carcass can be further cleaned and heated.
