The key characteristics of this technological process are the water temperature of 60 – 64°C for scalding the carcass and the time of the scalding procedure itself. It softens the hair follicles and ensures their removal at the scraping stage.
One operator is sufficient to control the operation of the dehairing machine for the pig.
The carcass should enter the scraping machine after the carcasses` brush washing and bleeding. It is a mandatory requirement.
The stage of removing bristles does not end with a scraper. Next, the carcass is processed manually using a gas burner or additional resinify on more productive automatic chamber lines. Afterward, the carcass is passed through a whip washer, which automatically removes the burnt layer of skin and is washed under the shower.
It is worth noting that the pig scalding machine with a scraper is the key equipment in pig slaughter lines. This stage is high-tech, requires more investment, and is the “bottleneck” of the line, which must work as stably as possible.
